The Psiioniic is capable of hearing the voices of the dying or those who are about to die. He often uses this as an early warning system, in case there is anything in his own immediate area that he should be concerned about but didn't yet know.
This ability also has him in-tune with those who are not quite alive or dead, although he may not realize what it actually means. An in-game example would be when he initially met Abraham, the Headless Horseman, in Box and was able to see some measure of head along with hear him where others could not.
